I mostly rely on US retailers for Titanium parts like headtubes, BBs and dropouts but the costs are getting ridiculously high. With just a couple of items in your basket you are over 500USD, with an extra 75-100 USD for Shipping, 25% for custom tax and a fixed processing fee. It now actually makes sense to buy the raw material and machine it yourself, headtubes and BBs can be done on a lathe, dropouts are more difficult, but 3D printing might change that very soon. For now I decided to turn my own 44mm headtube, it's a long one but I'll get there...<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"fr\" src=\"\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/fr.gif\" alt=\"en\" width=\"27\" height=\"21\" \/> Les mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res et les frais d'envoi grimpent. Je me fourni principalement aux US pour les pi\u00e8ces titane comme les douilles, le bo\u00eetiers et les pattes mais les prix deviennent alarmants. Avec quelques produits dans le panier on d\u00e9passe facilement les 500USD, auxquelles s'ajoutent 75 \u00e0 100 USD de frais d'envoi, 25% de taxe d'import et des frais fixes de d\u00e9douanage. Il est d\u00e9sormais plus int\u00e9ressant d'acheter les tubes titane et de les usiner soi-m\u00eame. Les douilles de direction et les bo\u00eetiers se font bien sur un tour, les pattes c'est plus compliqu\u00e9 mais l'impression 3D va vite changer la donne.
