Titanium welding cup info

enQuite a few people have asked me about Ti welding cuts, where to get them, how to use them, etc... Here are some links to 3 different Titanium welding cups (thanks Daniel):

These cups have a very large diameter (1" to 1"1/8 ~ 30mm) for maximum shielding and require an adequate Argon flow between 30 and 40 CFH (Cubic Feet per Hour) ~ 14 to 18 L/min, compared to the 11 CFH or 5-6 L/min used with #6 (9.5mm) cups when welding steel.

enOn me demande souvent ou trouver des embouts de torche TIG pour la soudure du Titane et comment les utiliser. Pour info voila des liens pour 3 options (merci Daniel):

Ces embouts ont de larges diamètres (1" to 1"1/8 ~ 30mm) pour une meilleure couverture par l'Argon, ils requièrent donc un débit adapté, typiquement entre 14 a 18 L/min a comparer avec les 5-6 L/min avec un embout #6 (9.5mm dia) utilisé pour l'acier.

Nico’s Titanium Softail is out in the wild !

enThe Ti Softail is finished and was shipped to it's owner in Lille - France. Here's a few pictures before it went in the box and out on it's first test ride.

enLe softail titane est fini et expédié a son nouveau proprétaire de Lille. Voila quelques photos avant sa mise en boite et de sa 1ere sortie.
