4 Non Blonds !
This week we're welcoming Iker (TIG cargo), Christian (lugged touring) and Michael (TIG MTB) for a framebuilding class. Busy week ahead, with 2 frames to finish this week and another 2 to tack. Days start at 8:30AM to end at 8:30PM, welcome to Hell's kitchen :-) After 2 days, Iker has made good progress on TIG pratice and is now tacking the main frame of his Cargo bike. Christian got started with some silver brazing and built a lugged fork for starter before moving on to the mitering of his frame's main tubes. Michael is busy mitering away his 2 tubesets so I can weld both frames next week.

Cette semaine nous accueillons Iker (TIG cargo), Christian (rando raccords) et Michael (TIG VTT) pour une semaine de fabrication de cadre. Semaine chargée en perspective, avec 2 cadres a finir cette semaine et 2 autres a pointer avant soudage la semaine prochaine. Les journées commencent a 8:30 et se finissent a 20:30, bienvenue en cuisine :-) Après 2 jours, Iker a fait des bons progrès en TIG et pointe déjà le cadre de son vélo cargo, Christian s'est fait la main a la brasure et a fini sa fourche avant de passer a la découpe des tubes de cadre quant a Michael, il est a fond dans le grugeage des 2 séries de tube pour ses VTT afin que je lui soude la semaine prochaine.
News from behind the scenes
After a cold & quiet winter, Spring and cyclists are back with some crazy projects:
- This weekend I had the visit of Michael from Germany who came to discuss the development of his own "Made in EU" bike line (his own Milan Spring collection if you will...). We looked at geometries, tubing, construction methods, potential suppliers, possible European builders, etc... during an intense bike-storming session.
- Next week is the Bristol Bespoke show in the UK, I will try to attend the show together with David Szabo of Kurtz bikes (Budapest - Hungary) , still not sure if I can come, it will depend on workload.
- 1st week of April we have Iker coming from Bilbao to build a cargo bike, very excited about that, I'm sure I'll want one too.
- And in the midst of all this I'll be building a Ti road bike with a custom paint job and complete with Ultegra components for a Norwegian client.

Apres un hiver calme, le printemps bat le rappel des cyclistes et de leurs projets fous:
- Ce weekend j'ai eu la visite de Michael qui est venu discuter de la creation de sa propre ligne de vélo. On a regardé les géométries, les tubes, les méthodes d'assemblage, des fournisseurs potentiels, les possibles artisans européens, etc... pendant une session de bike-storming intense.
- La semaine prochaine c'est le salon Bespoke de Bristol (UK), j'y ai pris un stand avec David Szabo de Kurtz bikes (Budapest - Hongrie) mais je ne suis pas sur de pouvoir m'y rendre, ca dépendra du boulot qu'il me reste a faire.
- La 1ere semaine d'Avril, je reçois Iker du pays Basque pour la fabrication d'un vélo cargo, un super projet qui va surement faire naître des envies...
- Au milieu de tout ca il faut que je construise un vélo de route titane avec peinture perso et montage a la carte en Ultegra
