Flat Mount Gravel
I finished the gravel steel frame with the Shimano Flat Mount and built it up into a test bike. I used a Shimano mechanical brake and a SRAM Rival 1x11 groupset and routed both the rear derailleur cable and the disc brake cable along the downtube. This gives a clean external cable routing with no cable stops brazed on any of the main tubes. The Flat Mount fits nicely between the chainstay and seatstay and you can use any classic dropout. On a road, gravel or touring frame it works great.
J'ai fini le cadre acier gravel avec la fixation Shimano Flat Mount et fait un montage test. J'ai utilisé un frein mécanique Shimano et un groupe SRAM Rival 1x11 pour pouvoir faire passer les câbles de dérailleur et de frein le long du tube diagonal. Ça donne un passage externe des câbles propre sans braser d'arret de gaine sur les tubes principaux. Le standard Flat Mount passe bien entre la base et la hauban et permet l'utilisation de pattes classiques. Sur un cadre route, gravel ou rando ca fonctionne très bien.
Shimano’s Flat Mount
The Shimano flat mount standard is a nice alternative to Postmount, it's relatively easy to miter the chainstays to fit the 2 bosses and you can use the Postmount jig with an adapter to keep them in place while brazing.
Le standard Shimano Flat Mount est une bonne alternative au Postmount, c'est assez simple de gruger les bases pour y insérer les 2 plots de fixation et on peut utiliser un gabarit Postmount avec un adapteur pour les tenir en place.
Igor, Max & Pali in da house
A new bike came out of the workshop this week, a stylish TIG welded single speed / track bike made for and with the help of Igor from Italy. Max from France and Pali from Hungary came to visit :-)
Un autre vélo est sorti de l'atelier cette semaine, un pinion fixe / pistard soudé TIG fabriqué pour et avec l'aide de Igor d'Italie. Max de France et Pali de Hongrie sont venus faire un tour a l'atelier :-)
