This week Thierry and Tommaso were here to build their own steel touring frames. Thierry added a fork to it, just to make it that little bit more challenging. Well done to both of you and thank you for this great week of TIG welding.

Turning a JD2 into a mandrel bender
Today I modified my JD2 model 3 bender to turn it into a manual mandrel bender, for thin wall 3" CLR bending of 7/8"x0.035" titanium chainstay tubing. It works really well and with just little modification.
Aujourd'hui j'ai modifié ma cintreuse JD2 en cintreuse a mandrin manuelle pour pouvoir cintrer des tubes titane de 22.2 x 0.9mm d'épais sur un rayon de courbure de 3". Ca marche bien et sans trop de modifications.

Micro-billage, plaque sur la douille, serrage de selle: prêt a rouler.
